Northeastern Region is Thailand or commonly known as Isaan consists of vast land of Thailand and it is quite dry during the year. It is a major agricultural hub but because of the climate, it can difficult at times for these region to yield crops. Therefore, festivities that is celebrated in the region are closely related to religious events asking gods for rain. The architecture in this region has many influence from the countries neighboring Thailand.
